Last weekend, the Hessian Football Association (HFV) elected its new board. The election campaign had been eagerly awaited by the media in the run-up. The background to this was controversial views within the Hessian state association during the election campaign two years ago, when a new DFB president was elected.

Prof. Dr. Silke Sinning, who is also DFB Vice-President, entered the election campaign with a competent and young team and won with a predictably narrow margin of 158 to 133 votes, as she reported in the  FAZ . In the  Hessenschau, she talks about her goals. She has always emphasized the social importance of sport, especially with regard to teamwork and solidarity. She would also like to anchor and further strengthen these values in the HFV.
