Workshop: Climate Change Action for Peacebuilding and Human Security

From December 1-2, the Janpeter Schilling and Rebecca Froese participated in the workshop "From a Climate-Security Nexus of Conflicts to a Nexus of Synergies - Climate Change Action for Peacebuilding and Human Security". The workshops was organized by the Research Group Climate Change and Security at the University of Hamburg / online. The presentation by Schilling and Froese tackled COVID-19 as a catalyst for change in overlaying crises and focused on the interplay between climate change, land use and the pandemic in the Southwestern Amazon.
