Global Change Colloquium: Pathways for reducing pesticide risks (Prof. Niklas Möhring, University Bonn)

Abstract

Globally, ambitious targets to reduce pesticide use and risks have been announced. However it is unclear how these targets may be reached. I will discuss pathways for advancing and implementing measures and policies to reach reduction targets. In my talk I will especially emphasize the importance of an interdisciplinary viewpoint and a mix of different tools, combined with an understanding of the agricultural system and farmer decision-making and behaviour.e agricultural system and farmer decision-making and behaviour.
