Research interests and involved projects
Research interests
- Molecular phylogenetics/-genomics
- Land plant evolution
- Bryophyte diversity
- Ecological transcriptomics
- Plant adaptation to aird habitats
My current research focus in on 1) genetic mechanisms underlying the adaptation of plants to arid desert environments and 2) the evolution and ecology of the epiphytic lifestyle in non-vascular land plants, i.e., bryophytes. Past research includes the lichen symbiosis and photobiont diversity.
