Project overview

  • BMBF joint project MLgSA: "Data- and simulation-based exploration, analysis and treatment of vasoconstrictions for the prevention of ischemic strokes."
  • FSI-COMPLEX FLUIDS project (HU 1885/1-2, ZA 613/1-1): "Mathematical modeling and numerical simulation of fluid-structure interaction for complex viscous fluids"

Selection of current projects

Project GEL

Simulation-based design and efficiency study of a rocket-borne aerosol collector for use at supersonic speeds

In this study, numerical simulations of supersonic flows are used to support the development of an impaction-based particle collector.

CZS joint project AI-Care

Artificial Intelligence for treating Cancer therapy Resistance

The AI-Care project is about cracking the code of cancer cells with artificial intelligence. The Numerical Simulation working group is participating in this joint project, which is funded by the Carl Zeiss Foundation.

Selection of completed projects

BMBF joint project MLgSA

Data- and simulation-based exploration, analysis and treatment of vasoconstrictions for the prevention of ischemic strokes

The aim of the BMBF's joint MLgSA project is to develop IT and mathematical analysis tools to improve clinical treatment pathways.

DFG project HU 1885/1-2, ZA 613/1-1:

Mathematical modeling and numerical simulation of fluid-structure interaction for complex viscous fluids

Materials used in industry and medicine, such as oils and blood, often do not fall under the classical models for viscous Newtonian fluids. The aim of the project is to gain a deeper understanding of the complex behavior of shear-dependent non-Newtonian fluids in time-dependent moving domains.
