Potential area MSO of the RLP research initiative
Modelling, simulation and optimization
The aim of MSO is the development and analysis of suitable mathematical methods that can be used to solve complex practical problems, but for which mathematical statements can also be made about their accuracy and limitations and recommendations for parameterization can be formulated.

CZS joint project AI-Care
Artificial Intelligence for treating Cancer therapy Resistance
The AI-Care project is about cracking the code of cancer cells with artificial intelligence. The Numerical Simulation working group is participating in this joint project, which is funded by the Carl Zeiss Foundation.

DFG project HU 1885/1-2, ZA 613/1-1:
Mathematical modeling and numerical simulation of fluid-structure interaction for complex viscous fluids
Materials used in industry and medicine, such as oils and blood, often do not fall under the classical models for viscous Newtonian fluids. The aim of the project is to gain a deeper understanding of the complex behavior of shear-dependent non-Newtonian fluids in time-dependent moving domains.
