Natural and Environmental Sciences in Landau - that stands for excellent studies, interdisciplinary teaching, excellent research and innovative projects. The department has set itself the goal of making sustainable contributions to science at the highest international standard through teaching and research. Teacher training in the department is of particular importance, offering students an excellent didactic and subject-specific education. In addition to a solid basic education, students can acquire key qualifications in modern specializations at the highest level through the department's degree programs, which are closely interlinked with research. All of the teaching subjects listed below are offered for the following school types: Elementary school, special school, secondary school plus, grammar school.

It is also possible to complete a Bachelor's degree in two subjects (two-subject Bachelor, B.A./B.Sc.). The design of the degree course enables students to study two undergraduate subjects on an equal footing and offers the opportunity to acquire key skills that are in demand. In addition, students can set individual priorities and develop their own personal profile by studying an elective subject and attending courses as part of the Studium Generale.
