The MobiLab of the Eucor MobiLab Roadshow 2025 made a stop at the RPTU campus in Landau on June 3 and 4, 2025. With the aim of making research on sustainability in the Upper Rhine region visible to everyone, the mobile participation lab from KIT offered a colorful, hands-on program from the world of science.

From climate protection and adaptation to PFAS chemicals and everyday energy-saving tips, various aspects of sustainability were presented. It was the perfect setting to showcase our findings from the Interreg project Clim’Ability Care:

Our experts Paul Averbeck (RPTU) and Prof. Florence Rudolf (INSA Strasbourg) presented insights and experiences from Clim’Ability Care and its predecessor projects under the theme “Our Forests in a Changing Climate Regime” and invited the audience to engage in discussion. Key climatic stressors and their effects on forests were explained and linked to socially relevant topics such as local value creation and recreational use.

In our project, which is part of the Interreg Upper Rhine program, 17 partners from France, Germany, and Switzerland are working together to create a new transnational corporate culture of resilience in the Upper Rhine region.

Since 2023, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs/SMIs) and industrial zones have been supported in managing the impacts of climate change, such as flooding. This helps to better prevent risks and strengthen collaborative disaster management.

If you're interested in gaining more exciting insights into sustainability research, feel free to visit one of the upcoming stops of the MobiLab! Clim’Ability Care will be supporting the events in Strasbourg (October 1–3, 2025) and Mulhouse (October 9–11, 2025), where visitors can dive into the themes of industrial urbanity and climate resilience.
